Since 1921 we have been honored to serve McLean County's area REALTORS®.
OUR MISSION The mission of the Bloomington-Normal Association of Realtors® is to provide services that ensure the professionalism and success of its members, while promoting real property ownership and protecting property rights in our communities.
I was asked what my theme for this year would be and I said, ‘Working Together.’ I want our members to work together to help people buy and sell homes.
So, Working together this year we will continue to waive fines for the first offense of our MLS rules and regulations. Our intent is not to fine members but to have every member work together so we can serve our clients and members fairly.
In the past we have often reacted after the fact to some building codes and ordinances in Bloomington, Normal and the other communities we serve. We are now working together with the City of Bloomington, and Town of Normal. This past week the Executive committee, our Government affairs director, and our RPAC chair met with David Hales and some of his staff to meet and discuss ways that we can work together proactively in the future.
Members of both the BNAR and our friends at the Home Builders Assoc. have applied for and will we believe in the future be appointed to city boards and commissions to help formulate ordinances and policies in the future.
Working together, We have sold 59 more new homes YTD and we have sold 478 more existing homes YTD than in 2012. For Single family homes our we have sold 32.3% more homes than last YTD. Our average sales price is up 2.7% YTD.
Our association is made up of more than 400 independent Realtors and I will work together with you so we can meet the needs of our Members and their clients..
